Leeds United great Peter “Hot Shot” Lorimer has died. A right-winger, Lorimer was known to possess one the hardest shots in all of football and renowned as a gifted playmaker. For Leeds, he scored 238 times in 705 games, well ahead of legend John Charles.
He helped take Leeds to the top of the English First Division in 1968-69 and 1973-74. Playing under Don Revie, Lorimer also helped the Whites take the FA Cup, a League Cup and two Friar’s Cups. He would later serve on the Board at Leeds United.
Peter Lorimer died after a long illness at the age of 74.
